Real Madrid has made official the loan to Arsenal of midfielder Dani Ceballos, until June of 2020. The North London team already made it official on their social media webpages, making Ceballos their second confirmed signing, after Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli.

The deal was allegedly on hold after Real Madrid’s player Marco Asensio got an ACL injury during a preseason match against… Arsenal.

However, Los Blancos did not change their word and made the loan official, offering the player an opportunity to be a starter in a Premier League team. A product of Betis academy, the midfielder played in 105 games for the Sevilla side, scoring 7 and assisting 9. Real Madrid signed him in 2017 and since then he made 56 appearances, scoring 5 goals and making 2 assists, being part of the squad who won the Champions League team in 2018.

He was also an integral part of this Summer’s successful Euro under 21 campaign of Spain, scoring two goals in the tournament, that La Roja would end up winning.

The Gunners are paying €4 million for the loan and do not have an option to buy him next summer. Is this a good deal for them? Will he be enough to fill in the boots of Aaron Ramsey who departed to Juventus? Who should Arsenal go for next?
