Get to know the playoff draw for Champions League

Even though the 3rd qualifying round matches of Champions League haven’t been played yet, UEFA announced the playoff draw already.

The playoff stage is the last step before the group stage, that will define who will be the last 6 teams to join the 26 who have qualified already.

Here is the draw defined today, between teams who won their respective leagues:

GNK Dinamo (CRO)/Ferencvaros (HUN) vs Maribor (SLO)/Rosenborg (NOR)

Cluj (ROM)/Celtic Glasgow (SCO) vs Slavia Praha (CZE)

Young Boys (SWI) vs Crvena Zvezda (SER)/ Copenhagen (DEN)

APOEL FC (CYP)/ Qarabag FK (KAZ) vs AJAX (NED)/PAOK (GRE)

Here is the draw for the league path, between 2nd and 3rd qualified teams of the top-ranked UEFA countries:

FC BASEL (SWI) / LASK (AUS) vs CLUB BRUGGE (BEL)/DINAMO KIEV (UKR)

KRASNODAR (RUS)/FC PORTO (POR) vs ISTAMBUL BASEKSHKIR (TUR)/OLYMPIAKOS (GRE)

The 3rd qualifying round starts tomorrow, Tuesday, 6th of August. The second leg will be played in the following week and the playoffs will happen in 20th and 21st of August and 26th and 27th.

The group stage draw will happen on the 29th of August in the Grimaldi Forum, in Monaco.
